LABOR DAY - THE BAND WILL BE PLAYING, TONIGHT!!!
Folks continue to pack the
beautiful Clintonville Woman's Club, 3951 North High Street,
Columbus, Ohio every Monday evening
to hear the Famous
Jazz Orchestra playing their
hearts out for all who care to listen.
Must be they found the "best kept secret in Ohio!"
direction of the spunky Vaughn Wiester, the band has been
getting together every Monday night (except when Columbus gets
horrible weather, or competition from a Buckeye football game) for
going over 20 years. The FJO is a twenty-two piece orchestra
made up of
volunteer professional musicians
who simply love getting together
to "jam and blow the good ones."
4th - (7:30 pm) - We will not be having a Guest Performer
- instead, the Band will be digging deep in their folders to find
some good ol' Big Band tunes to dig into... Always a fun
night watching them "sight readin, baby!"
Monday Night, Sept
- (7:30 pm) - Our Guest Performer will be local
You Can Use
Origins of Big Band Music - A nice large piece of reading about the
origins of our "big band" music... (This will drive
Eubanks crazy... )
